Clean up your houses like never before,
Bring out the diyas, and decorate galore.
Ensure that you stock up on all kinds of sweets,
Halwa and other delectable treats.
Tis the season for sales, so have a shop fest,
Electronics, jewellery, clothes, go buy the best.
I will be celebrating Diwali in Bangalore,

Monsoon Mayhem

September in Bombay has become quite wet,
Yesterday was excessive, how much worse can it get.
It floods within minutes of a rainy outburst,
With waterlogged roads and tracks, travelling is cursed.
Traffic is crazy and there are bottle necks galore,
Short distances take ages, endless waiting is a bore.
The Government won't improve infrastructure in our city,
As it would rather not deliver, and keep filling up its kitty.
We Must Act against the corrupt politicians in power,
As more accountability is the need of the hour.
Let us not remain silent, but raise our voices together,
So that Bombay is able to survive bad weather.
